WELCOME TO WILDFLOWERS
A Charlotte Mason Inspired Community
Welcome to Wildflowers - a place where families grow in community. Supporting home educating and adoptive families in the greater Spokane and northern Idaho areas. Our community is based on principles of motherhood, mothercare, and education set forth by Charlotte Mason, and the Reggio Emilia practice of parent-child-environment interaction.

Wildflowers advocates for the protection of parent rights to chose what is best for their families.
WILDFLOWERS:
A CHARLOTTE MASON INSPIRED COMMUNITY
Charlotte Mason was an educator and philosopher ahead of her time. She believed that all aspects of life were important to the educational life of a child; "Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, a life". Charlotte encouraged a peaceful home environment, exploring nature, and the nourishment of living literature. She trained and empowered parents, believing that a child's parents were their primary resource.

Here at Wildflowers, in the greater Spokane and northern Idaho areas, we believe connection and community are everything. We simply exist to support home educating and adoptive families, including those with special needs children. It is our hope that you will find encouragement in motherhood, mothercare, and home educating with us.

Please explore our website for more information on our local meet-ups, cooperative, and community schools. We welcome you to join our online community, live groups from Bible studies to Homesteading, or just come for a park play day!

OUR PROGRAMS
What you see here in the Wildflowers Community, was created with supporting you, the parent, in mind.

*Groups and Community school are on hold until further notice. Contact us about co-op and events!*
THE MICRO-GROUPS
Community based small-groups
We are now offering community "Micro-Groups" for families looking for an active community-based outlet. These groups center around geographic location and encourage members of our community to make connections where they live.
THE COOPERATIVE
Cooperative Family Enrichment
Wildflowers Community Co-op offers an opportunity for children to gather weekly with their families. True to the Charlotte Mason style of "feasting" on a living education, we group study poetry, nature, well-written literature, folksong, hymns, composers, and beautiful art. Together, we work to cultivate an environment that allows our children to nurture their love of learning; as well as grow our personal knowledge as home educators.
THE SCHOOL
Home Education Enrichment
Wildflowers Community School offers a twice-weekly classroom enrichment program for ages 2-17. Our Community School is based on the Cottage school model, with an emphasis in Charlotte Mason and Reggio Emilia philosophy. Check out The School page for more details!
OUR MISSION
At Wildflowers we believe in the power of family, thus our primary focus is to see families thrive. We offer relationship-building activities, parent education, and continual support.
